Saturday 25th of September 2010

Attention all ye adventurous single people!

Come and join us for a hill walk with a difference, an experience you will never forget! Meet at the farmhouse at 6pm for a BBQ and a bit of craic before heading for the Carlingford Tourist Office where the walk begins at 8pm

Our walk will take us to the deserted village at Barnavave which pre-dates famine times. Onwards and upwards to Maeve's Gap with it's twin peaks, supposedly gouged out by the army of Queen Maeve as an insult to Cuchulainn and the warriors of Ulster, where (weather permitting) we will experience moonlit views of the Mournes, Carlingford Lough and the surrounding countryside.
Afterwards we return to Carlingford via The Golyin Pass just in time for a refreshing, well earned drink in O'Hare's Pub.

Price: (BBQ and guided walk) just €40 p.p
